Spicy Potato Curry Recipe

Spicy Potato Curry

Ingredients of Spicy Potato Curry

7 small boiled,cubed potato
3 chopped green chilli
1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds
1/2 teaspoon chopped garlic
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
1/4 teaspoon garam masala powder
salt as required
2 teaspoon refined oil
1/4 teaspoon mustard seeds
1/2 inch grated ginger
1/4 teaspoon powdered turmeric
3/4 teaspoon coriander powder
1/4 teaspoon fenugreek seeds
1 1/2 cup water
For Garnishing
1 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves
For The Main Dish
2 finely chopped onion
1 medium freshly ground tomato

How to make Spicy Potato Curry
Step 1
Heat oil in a pan on low flame and when its hot enough, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and saute for a few seconds. Once the seeds starts crackling, add ginger, garlic, green chilli and stir it for a few seconds.

Step 2
Add chopped onions and saute on medium flame till the onions becomes translucent. Then add the chopped tomatoes along with salt and mix them well. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder and cook till the tomatoes become soft and mushy.

Step 3
Add cubed potatoes, garam masala, kasuri methi and mix it well till all the spices gets well combined. Add water as per the desired consistency, mix it well and bring it to a boil.

Step 4

Cover the lid of the pan and cook for 2 to 3 minutes. When done, open the lid and garnish with chopped coriander leaves, the spicy potato curry is ready to serve. Serve hot as a side dish with chapati and rice.
